Vision for St. Louis Park

My vision for our community includes:

• Human-scale development that maintains neighborhood character, adds value to our city, and attracts a thriving business community.
• Fiscal discipline to keep our city strong and ensure high quality services.
• Livable community that values our green space and provides pedestrians safe access to parks, schools, businesses, and our future light rail stations.
• Transparent decision-making that involves residents in the issues that impact their lives.

My background as an Executive Director of a neighborhood organization and an advisor to the Center for Neighborhoods in creating a “Development Guide for Neighborhoods”, (http://www.center4neighborhoods.org/Development_Handbook.pdf)  provide the foundation for my approach to decision-making.  And on top of years of policy expertise in community development, I think the most valuable asset I bring to the table is my collaborative approach and skills.  I really listen to people’s opinions and am able to help people find common ground.  This is what I do as a professional, and how I would serve as a leader.
